KanBan and Inventory

ICTC Precision Machining, Inc. has the experience and capabilities to create customized Kanban systems to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. Properly designed and implemented, a Kanban system can improve Timing, Planning and Flexibility along with consistency in pricing and quality.

Our stockroom is a clean, air-conditioned space organized through our ERP system, JobBoss. Locations, costs, quantities, lots and revisions are recorded so there is full traceability.

 

Packaging and Shipping

We take great pride in ensuring that once the components are machined and are ready to ship to you that they reach you in pristine shape. The use of specialized packaging greatly reduces the chance of metal touching metal during shipping and prevents nicks and dings.

At ICTC, we operate 24/7. Our turning machines can run on weekends and over holidays, all the while parts are properly discharged, chips are removed and coolant levels are in the optimal range. It is a well thought-out process based on careful scheduling and an overall understanding of the specific requirements needed to manufacture each part. These factors include

  • Materials – Some materials, such as brass, machine faster than stainless steel.
  • Design – Simple parts simply take less time to machine than more intricate parts.
  • Set-up – Jobs with similar tooling requirements take less time to set up.
